Description
Overnight Emergency Veterinary TechnicianAt VCA Midwest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center we deliver the most progressive and appropriate treatments available in Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, and Oncology.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 3 x 12-hour shifts. Overnight/3rd shift. 7 pm - -7:30 am
Compensation: Pay range is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials.
The Role
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician (ER/ICU), you'll play a critical role in patient care across emergency and specialty services. You'll support a wide range of cases-from triage and stabilization to ongoing ICU care, while working alongside a highly skilled, collaborative emergency and specialty team.

What We're Looking For
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for high-quality, patient-centered care
What You'll Do
- Triage and assist in stabilizing emergency patients
- Provide advanced nursing care in ICU and critical care settings
- Administer medications, CRIs, and fluid therapy
- Perform diagnostics (lab work, imaging, sample collection)
- Assist with advanced procedures (central lines, transfusions, oxygen therapy)
- Communicate with clients during high-stress situations with empathy and clarity
- Collaborate closely with ER doctors, specialists, and support staff
