Description
Seeking second small animal critical care specialist to join our new emergency and speciality hospital in Salt Lake City opening fall 2026. Hospital will consist of 24/7 emergency coverage along with internal medicine and surgery on opening day. Active recruitment of additional specialties at this time.
Facility will be 12,000 SF initially (phase 1), with total build out over first 3 years to include 20,000 SF. Advanced imaging will include CT and MRI on opening day. Open floorplan to encourage collaboration between all departments. Dedicated ICU with oxygen kennels, high flow oxygen administration, cat ward, ventilator capabilities, point of care ultrasound, and 2 radiology suites.

Position is pro-sal (Base plus production) with a base salary of $225,000. Position will also include quarterly team bonuses.
PTO: 4 weeks
CE: 1 week (on-top of PTO)
Eligibility for equity purchase offered after 1 year of employment. You can be a true owner of WAG.

**The state of Utah no longer is legally allowed to enforce contracts with non-competes signed after May 6, 2026. Our founders testified on capitol hill advocating for this bill to remove veterinary non-competes. We believe that when veterinarians have the freedom to practice where they are needed, the entire community wins.
Requirements
Residency trained in emergency and critical care, preferably board certified! Current residents can also apply and we will help provide assistance during board study. Emergency surgery and endoscopy encouraged (if comfortable) or supervision/training provided. Job position is for full time and will consist of 3-4 day shifts a week with some weekend coverage. Expectation of applicant to collaborate with team and community members (referring veterinary professionals).
