Established in 1996 Animal Urgent care is the only 24 hours dedicated urgent care and emergency veterinary facility in San Diego County. Owner operated, our specialty is emergency medicine - quality care when minutes count. We pride ourselves on a friendly, family atmosphere acting as an extension to our referring hospitals. 50% of our clientele are repeat business because of trust, value, and positive experience.
Company History
Opened in 1996, Animal Urgent Care was the relocated to a new facility in 2003. We are fully equipped to operate a 24 hour urgent care and emergency veterinary facility.
Benefits
AUC will offer a signing bonus and/or moving expenses including housing for the first 6 months of employment based on qualifications and experience in emergency medicine.
DVM's work 12-14 shifts per month leaving plenty of time for enjoying San Diego county.
Compensation is a base / production combination that generously rewards DVM's for busy shifts and case work ups.
We have 2 surgeons available to cut cases if needed but ER DVM's are encouraged to do surgery.
Case load varies with 50% medical cases and 50% trauma.
Our cloud based computer system allows access for DVM's out of the hospital to finish up records or check in on cases at any time of the day or night without being on site.

Our ACVECC diplomate is available to review cases and consult at most anytime.
We actively use the local specialty radiology center for radiology reviews, complicated ultrasounds or echos, and have access to several specialty referral hospitals for cases requiring other disciplines.
