Company History
Dr. Charles Watson founded Alpine Animal Hospital in 1971. Many long-time Issaquah residents still recall the Alpine hut architecture of the original building along with the chickens residing out front. Changes involving the widening of Sammamish Road and the development of Pickering Place altered the course of Issaquah Creek and necessitated relocation to the site where Alpine Animal Hospital is located today.
In 1997, the leadership team at Alpine realized there was a lack of any local overnight pet care for their patients and decided to add 24-hour emergency care to their day practice. With this, Alpine expanded their team and building to include an Emergency/ICU department.
In 2005, Alpine Animal Hospital joined the VCA family of hospitals where they were supported in their mission to practice quality medicine with great client care. In 2017, Alpine became partners with Pathway Veterinary Management group. This allows the hospital to retain their identity and stability while having access to countless tools, resources and benefits that cultivate growth as individuals and as a practice.
